These are your traditional "composting worms". They are known as red wigglers, composting worms or by the scientific name Eisenia Fetida. These worms are extremely hardy and well versed in eating your kitchen scraps!
Red wigglers are the most suggested worms to use when starting your vermicomposting journey. They can tolerate a wider range of temperatures and tend to squiggle around in the first 3 inches of soil. I love these guys as they are best known for being the hardest workers of the worm composting world. Red wigglers have a great temperament and usually don't wander out from the bin.
